Honey has been ADOPTED!
Honey has a soft kind eye and is definitely a ‘people’ horse. She is a compact girl, nice straight legs and super feet, and she’s doing well barefoot! She trained but did not race. She has lots of energy, but is sensible enough to be calm and obedient even after having several
days off in a row. She seems to really enjoy her work and learning new things. Honey’s flat work has improved significantly. Her balance is improving each week, her trot rhythm is becoming very steady and she picks up both canter leads very nicely now. She is starting to do some lateral work, a little leg yielding and shoulder-in, and it is coming along nicely. Honey is very clever and learns quickly. She is brave and highly curious and has to investigate anything different or unusual in her environment, especially those things that other horses may find scary. She loves splashing through puddles and walks over poles, tarps and little bridges with no hesitation. We have started her over some small cross-rails and jumps and she is doing very well. She is very polite in the barn while being groomed and tacked up, ground tying and staying parked in place even if you have to pop out of sight around a corner for a minute or two. She hops into the trailer like a star, always keen on a new adventure. Honey is happy and easy to manage when being ridden out. She loves a loose rein and likes to take the lead of the group, but she will walk behind as well. Honey gets along great with her pasture pal. She is quite the character and is a fantastic horse for someone who likes to go places and do interesting things.
