Bear is a super sweet horse, he loves his humans to groom and cuddle him in fact, he enjoys being the center of attention. He raced until he was 11 years old and although he still enjoyed running his owners decided to retire him. Lucky for New Stride he came to us, he's a barn favourite. Bear had 77 starts, from which he was 1st 24 times, 2nd 15 times and 3rd 6 times, that's almost 60% in the top 3 placings! In 2014 out of the top 100 Bear was ranked 20th by wins.He made $ 286,338 for his owners. We are looking for a noncompetitive, semi retirement home for Bear. However, Bear is no slouch and requires an advanced rider with lots of time to ride and love him. Bear is sensitive and very clever, he's not fazed by humans walking dogs or cyclists coming up behind or towards him.
