Smartie is smart! She is quite young and energetic but has proven her energy can be channeled positively. She likes to do the right thing and is learning about the new routine outside of her racing training. She came to New Stride as she was too slow to be a racehorse. We have a good start on ground manners and work in the round pen. She is friendly, a bit cheeky and very athletic. With a patient owner willing to take the time to take her step by step she could go on to be a successful competition horse. We have started mounted work at the walk and trot in the arena. Gaining confidence, canter work and  exploring the farm will be next on the list for Smartie before she is available for adoption.
