Dolly is very pretty, and a sweet filly. Although she trained, the fast pace of the race track wasn't her 'thing', and she wasn't interested in racing. Dolly is settling in nicely at her temporary home with the other New Stride horses.  She is super friendly, and learning the basics of what she'll need for her new life. As she is very young, we are giving her time to learn new skills. Dolly comes out for daily groundwork sessions and we have started the under saddle stage. We are working her lightly in the indoor arena, teaching and reviewing 'go, stop, back, move shoulders, and haunches'. Dolly is very clever and learns quickly. She is currently quite happily walking and trotting in the arena with or without other horses working as well. While horses are jumping, Dolly stands or walks quietly, thus giving her time to process the action.  Overall, she is adjusting well to her new life, and she quite enjoys the company of people.  Dolly has recently cantered under saddle for the first time since her life at the track, and she handled it calmly.
