Belle is sweet and very people friendly. She is clever, learns quickly, a good mover and loves to have a job. She stands at the mounting block, good for the farrier and really enjoys her grooming. We are currently working with her from the ground to introduce new and helpful concepts to her as well as re-starting her under saddle. Belle is sensitive, she needs someone who has prior experience with young OTTBs, she is not for a novice. Her ‘go’ from the leg is quite responsive. Belle happily trots around on a good rhythm, her downward transitions are improving daily. We are currently adding canter to her training sessions. She is happy to have a job to do, and needs a calm, confident rider/handler.   When under saddle and something spooks her, or gets her attention, she’s quite reasonable about it and doesn’t go far. A good vintage, needing time to mature, spicy undertones and ‘cheek’ combined with velvety smooth notes. Belle is looking for her ‘special’ person and will blossom nicely with consistant work and love. We have found some health issues with Belle and are modifying her daily routine. Belle prefers to live outside with a shelter and friends close by. She will do best in a quiet, low key home, surrounded by friends. She will likely not do well in a competitive training program.
