 Alice loves her people, she's a happy friendly mare. We are currently working with her on the ground, teaching her the cues and skills that will help her transition to a riding life more easily. She likes to have a job to do and if not given specific direction, makes up her own activity. As of June 2020 Alice is now under saddle. We are working mainly on walk and trot, focusing on steering and rhythm.  She is quite smart and a good mover, Alice covers ground easily, she looks and moves like a show ring hunter. As of late June we have added canter to her training sessions, she has a lovely rhythmical movement. Alice walks into the wash rack and stands quite well to be sprayed off in the summer heat.  She is presently barefoot in the good footing of the arena where we are boarding. She stands nicely at the mounting block for us and also likes to 'park' and hang out. Alice comes to us when turned out and enjoys her hand walks around the farm. Her breeder retired her from racing when she had a minor injury, then donated her to New Stride. She's had good rest and rehab, now she's back to work and enjoying life. Alice works five days each week and we will be starting her under saddle work quite soon. She is not available for adoption yet but keep an eye on our Facebook page where we will post when we start booking showings.
