Eddie is a cheery character, he always calls when he sees us. He has started basic ground work, has learned to lunge in the round pen and in the main arena. He’s quite a goofy young guy with a short attention span, characteristic of his age. Eddie is learning to stand ground tied for grooming. He’s a lively fellow and needs a bit of time to learn to slow down. We work with him daily and are seeing improvements weekly. We have been working with Eddie 3-4 times each week. Eddie is now quite comfortable with other horses working around him while he’s being lunged or ridden. We are giving him time to take everything in and currently working him at walk/trot. While he won’t be a prospect for a competitive home, he can be ridden lightly and learn to become a trail horse. Eddie needs full day or more turn out with shelter, preferably with horse ‘friends’. He’s no slouch, he’ll need room for self exercise and an experienced calm handler. He will make a fun little horse for his special human.
